    elevator was written after watching 'elevator to the gallows,' a movie that miles davis scored. the organ was (based on my memory after leaving the movie, anyway) taken from a trumpet lick miles played. this was also made around the time jay dee died, and the drums sound very dilla to my ears. and hopefully yours, too.
