must be the eye patch that's messing my mind up taking all my minerals and vitamins but nonetheless time's up my ass with a bunch of demands I'm punching the clock, I do not understand how we got here something's keeping me awake, I can't say it's not fear can't find the words...

no sudden moves, a couple inches at a time before you knew he flew the coop slipping through the open windows, bright future, shade your eyes, act surprised when that lightness becomes unbearable embarrassing how deep the need for some darkness to stare into preparing for the sunset when those colors fade away while trying to maintain a front like everything is a ok shadow boxing with a demon, great sparring partner float like a monarch in the sedan chair toss a couple dollars for the cab fare nothing's the same, of course it isn't last year, that's just how time works trying to reach the top, got to climb first, ain't that a bitch well yes indeed I sweat I bleed and just like you I've got my very own wants that feel like needs you can find me planting seeds, Johnny Apple my love language is drumbreaks and rhodes piano been on the search for that joint with Erick Sermon on the banjo playing cards I just let the whole hand show hold heat nonchalantly the way this world works is beyond me all the all the oxen trying to set their minds free it's not as easy as it sounds the way this world works is beyond me must be some other worlds to choose from

hip bone grinding in the socket picture me stopping, it's not an option that's why it's called a grind poison in the well, poison in the mind keep looking 'round as if there's something else to find 'road closed' tacked on every single exit sign aged like fine vinegar picture of the paper with today's date and a forced smile from the prisoner blinking in morse code, but there's really nothing to say

about

a picture of the paper with today's date and a forced smile from the prisoner, blinking in morse code, but there's really nothing to say

--------------------------------------

morse code travels through a lot of emotions in a ten minute run time. mostly the emotions you run into when sleeping badly and waking up in the middle of the night to write lyrics, which is how the brief verses that open and close the project came to be. a few instrumental experiments including a collaboration with Olof Melander and another vocal song round out the project. Many thanks to Olof and to Senz for their instrumental contributions and to MJC for getting this sounding so nice.

The full project is the recommended serving, but the individual tracks are also included here if you're so inclined.
